I've been working on my poker face for some time, playing with a mirror nearby or having someone critique me.
But as of yet I haven't started trying anything by way of bluffing-by that I mean I try and guard my hand by not giving tells, but do not deliberately try and give false tells. How do you start out with this-and is it easy to master? |

It takes practice to work on removing your tells. One of the things to consider, if you have a tell and you are having a hard time correcting it...don't'
![]() You can use you tell to your advantage. Use it to bluff and make people you think you have cards you don't and after you win a few hands because of this they will learn that they need to ignore your 'tell'. ![]() |

So you mean that instead of stopping them completely, you use them to your advantage as a bluff rather than giving a false tell-just consciously change the time you do it?
The problem then would be stopping it happening at other times, when you're not thinking about it :P |

I have to watch it when I play with my husband...he knows my every move. But with others, so far I don't think I've had anything too obvious. A friend literally "yipped" when she got a full house in our last game. Friendly game, we could laugh...if that happened elsewhere...I don't think it would have been as much fun.
