Get In On the Action - Fiesta Poker Tournament Proceeds to Benefit SISCV

Calling all poker enthusiasts. Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 6 and join the members of Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley (SISCV) for an evening of poker, celebrities, prizes, festive food and beverages.


The action starts at 6 p.m. at the beautiful Westridge Horizon Clubhouse located at 26960 Sycamore Meadow in Westridge.
Guests will have the opportunity to play in a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament alongside celebrities and professional poker players, playing for prizes and top honors at the final table.

Proceeds from the tournament will go to Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley to help the organization deliver on its mission to help women and girls locally through their Community Outreach Program, which includes donations by request from Single Mother’s Outreach, Domestic Violence Center, College of the Canyons, Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, SCV Senior Center, Betty Ferguson Foundation, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and the Child and Family Center. Additionally, the club helps fund international projects to advance the status of women and girls around the world.

Tournament co-chair, Carolyn Nelson, thanked The Magazine of Santa Clarita for their continued support of SISCV. “Without our local media, fundraising events such as this would have a very difficult time being successful. This is a great example of business and non-profits working together to elevate our community.”

So, don’t miss out - register now for the Fiesta Poker Tournament, Saturday, June 6. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and the tournament will start at 6 p.m. sharp. Buy-in is $100, with three re-buys at $40 each and a final add-on of $60. There will be cash side game tables for those of you who love poker (or maybe just want to learn) but don’t want to commit to the tournament. Buy in for the cash games will be $40.
