Arrow Strategies for online poker

Poker has become so popular that it has become one of the most played games online. This is because it is a fun and easy game. It became more popular when they started showing poker games on TV and made more people learn about this game. However, plying poker on live games compared to online poker has got its share of difference. In fact, I think the only common thing they have really is how they are played. Let’s take a look at the differences of the online and live poker games.

One difference of online and live poker games is that you are more likely to have hemorrhoids during live games. Live games takes players time and would require him sitting for a longer period of time. The game sometimes will last 7 to 8 hours without any new players coming in to play. Online poker is the complete opposite, the actions are very fast. The players will be changing very fast. This allows the player to play only a few hands and leave the game already.

Because players in the internet move in and out very fast you may play aggressively instead of deceptively. Because the players change really fast, you are not able to study their game plan. The advantage of playing bluffs is that your opponents will be deceived by future moves you make. That advantage can be gone playing online.

If you are playing regular opponents online, your strategy should be to mix it up a little bit, but still less compared to that of an actual game. If you are playing new opponents all the time try to be straight forward because you have little time to study or strategize.

Bluffing on the internet is also easier compared to that on live games. You won’t need to show any physical manifestations such as the moving of chips or your eye reactions when you are bluffing. You can just click you r mouse.

Because online players can be more tricky or bluff more it can impact your strategy in two ways. You can not assume that your opponents are always bluffing, so you would need to often raise and call to opponents who would want to win every pot. Your opponents will also call you more often so try to bluff a fewer times compared to that of a live game.

However try not to be careless too about playing online poker. It may be only poker on the computer but you are still playing real money. Don’t forget about that.
