Necessary?

Do you feel like a poker strategy is really necessary? Do you think that it's possible to win by entering a game without having a strategy in mind?

No I don't honestly. And if you have a strategy too fixed in mind it could actually ruin your game, because you could miss other opportunities. I think that you need to play more on the fly until you are pretty expert at playing.

I don't think it's necessary to have a strategy although its nice to have a little plan of action but I rarely implement it unless I have to.

I definitely agree. I think that if you are too strict on sticking to a specific strategy you will miss tons of great opportunities along the way. Rather than keep your focus on one thing, try to focus on the entire game as a whole. I guess you could call that a strategy.
